* Technische Universiteit Delft, Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, and Universiteit Twente mainly deal with technology subjects. Wageningen Universiteit has a background in agriculture, forestry and fishery, and is therefore strong in these and related fields. The other universities cover almost all academic fields, but please be careful when choosing your university as some subjects are taught at one or two universities only.
* The BA/MA/PhD degree system has been adopted in the Netherlands since 2002. Most BA-level courses are taught in Dutch, while courses at the MA-level are held in English. However, all the courses at the University Colleges, both in Amsterdam and in Utrecht, are taught in English.
